Starting Over Again
I have been looking at a lot of writers online who have used Wordpress, Hugo, Blogger etc and have all had similar experiences as I have. We write a few posts, and then they are left to the void, where perhaps someone will stumble upon them through a google search if they were indexed.
Or the appearance of the blog and ease of use becomes so much more of the focus than the actual writing and then you begin to hate the process and it goes to the wayside. I am glad to know that I am not the only one who has struggled with this. Luckily I have stumbled onto omg.lol and through the various things they offer I was able to find a nice combination of things to pique my interest.
Through looking at others who are using the platform to create a web presence I noticed a lot of people were using Pika for blogging. I was intrigued and looked and a lot of the above issues were repeated by others, but they had found peace with Pika. A platform that allows you to put your words down and get them in front of people without having to go through the pain of having to fire up VCS and GitHub and all that jazz.
I think this will perhaps be the beginning of a good partnership that will help me stick with the blogging. G-D knows I need all the help I can get.
So heres to starting over again. New beginnings as we go into the New Year.
